Background
On 22 October 2024, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, of the far-right populist Fratelli d’ Italia party, celebrates 2 years in office. While her arrival was awaited with anxiety in the Western capitals, Meloni turned out to be cooperative and has received a good press in the West. Her internal politics passed unnoticed by the international media. Her internal policies have been in line with her hard-line promises.
Francesca de Benedetti will focus on Meloni’s policies for the Italians.
