FJUM in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Austria is pleased to invite media professionals to a special workshop and discussion on the upcoming U.S. Presidential Elections and their potential global impact.
This event will feature a bipartisan dialogue between two distinguished U.S. political experts:
- Mark Pfeifle – Founder and President of Off the Record Strategies, former Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communication at the White House. A recognized authority in crisis communications, digital media, and cybersecurity, Pfeifle brings extensive experience from both the public and private sectors.
- Jason Altmire – Former U.S. Congressman (2007-2013) and respected public affairs consultant, author of Dead Center: How Political Polarization Divided America and What We Can Do About It. Altmire is known for his centrist approach and has frequently contributed to national political discussions.
Together, they will provide a comprehensive analysis of what to expect from the U.S. national elections and explore the potential impact on key global issues, including U.S.-Europe relations, trade, climate change, foreign affairs, and economic policy. This discussion will also delve into the broader implications for open government, the role of media, civil society, and the future of democracy in the context of rising polarization.
